Inspired by the collection of old DSLR cameras that were just sitting in my father's bedroom, I was intrigued and got permission from him to use one of the cameras for my trip to Sydney, Australia back in 2015. I loved feeling the camera around my neck whilst exploring the city. I was blessed to have had a friend who gave me so much time to explore the different angles for the perfect picture whether it was for a portrait of her or of the cityscape. The harbour bridge lit up in the evening and as I sprawled across a park bench ready for a long exposure shot whilst playing around with the aperture, I fell in love with the preparation and anticipation of a beautiful outcome. I snapped and waited, the colours emerged from the camera screen and a smile slowly emerged across my entire face. That is when I knew I loved photography. Ever since then, I have taken various equipment in cluding a DJI drone on my adventures. Discovering the beauty of the earth and in people has never been so fulfilling. I have learnt and gained perspective through my phototaking journey.
